I love seeing how prom styles have developed since I went to high school. For my junior prom it was the stiff, almost early 2000’s bridesmaids looking dresses, and then my senior prom it was big poufy ballgowns!
But these new styles………oh my goodness, I am loving!! This year I’ve seen everything from cottagecore style prom dresses, to these beautiful, & sleek gowns.
When Camila had reached out to me about her session, she wanted to do something that would match her style. She sent me the dress she was going to wear to prom, & instantly I knew where we would be going.
We planned to meet up at the Milton Rhodes Art Center, but ended up on opposite sides of it. We texted to figure out where she was, so I could just walk up to meet her. I had a pretty good idea of where she was.
So I started my ascent up the arts center staircase to meet her, and when I came up the steps my jaw dropped!
Camila’s dress was simply drop, dead, gorgeous!!
When she had first sent me a photo of what it looked like, I thought it was red. But it was neon pink with hundreds of sewn in sequins. I was blown away!
When the sequins would catch the light, it would make the whole dress look like a mirror ball. Shimmering. Beautiful.
Her date Gavin had matched his bow tie to her dress.
Camila & Gavin, I hope you had the best night ever! Cheers to prom 2023!!!
