I know weddings are a huge investment, and often times the most overlooked part is the wedding photography. Most people say they will just get images from their family & friends that share their iPhone photos with them. And the most common phrase that I hear from those who made that decision are, “I wish I would’ve saved up & hired a wedding photographer.” 

Before you read a real response, from a real bride, I just want you to know I’m not bashing anyone or anyone’s decision. I want you to have all the information so you can make an informed decision about YOUR own wedding.

I asked a former bride her thoughts on not hiring a wedding photographer, & this is what she had to say,

Spend the money, hire someone who knows what they’re doing, because you’re literally going to look back on those photos for the rest of your life, and you wanna make sure you love them. It is literally my biggest regret not having a professional and it’s my top advice to anyone getting engaged: spend the money. Hire the professional.

A wedding is a once in a lifetime event, and you want to be sure every emotion is captured. You want those little hidden moments you can’t see captured. You want all those details you worked so hard on captured. You want beautiful photos of your parents, grandparents, siblings, etc. captured, because they may be the last time some of your family members may be there. (I promise I’m not being dramatic. For some this has been the case. )

Whatever your reason may be, make sure you are hiring someone who cares deeply about photographs just as much as you do.
