Hi! I'm Hope!

I am going to make it a goal to do behind the scenes photos for every single wedding & shoot I do in 2022! I started off strong at the beginning of this year, but then fell short as the year went on.

It’s so interesting to see a lot of these behind the scenes shots, because by the end of the year, I have no clue what is going on in most of them. I really hope you enjoy this look into what it’s really like being a Hope Ann client, & all my crazy antics!

First things first though, be sure that you check out the first 2 blog posts in the series: Best of Portraits 2021 & Best of Weddings 2021.

So two things are happening here: On the left I was trying to pick a good spot out for the set-up. Somewhere that would be free of clutter in the background. So naturally, instead of using my actual camera, I decide to do that. *Insert smacks forehead emoji*

On the right, bless my sweet friend Kristin for coming to help out with the Valentine’s Day Mini’s! My background didn’t reach quite far enough, so she volunteered to hold it up for me. She’s the sweetest and the best!

I love this photo that Mollie (The Little Chapel NC & Mollie B. Marketing & Creative LLC) captured for me.

First, Kristin found a new way to hold the background (Don’t worry she didn’t stay like that for the entire evening! I wouldn’t do that to her!), and secondly my past client, Leslie, is holding her friend’s baby so that her & her husband could have some sweet images together. And not pictured was Leslie’s husband Logan, playing with the other two kids in the background so their parent’s could have their photo taken.

And as you can see in the image below, Logan is playing music trying to grab the little one’s attention for a couple seconds.

Ya’ll, it literally takes a village sometimes.

Noah is a pro now at being my little second shooter. He loves to take photos on my phone while his mom & her fiance get their photos taken.

My sweet friend Tiffany (Humble Jade Co. ) setting up for the Boho Styled Bridal Shoot. It was very cold in the morning.

The wind was blowing through this little walkway so hard at times, and was really cold but we had so much fun setting this up. Not sure what my face is in that 2nd photo.

Just working on the details. I take my detail work pretty seriously these days.

You can’t see it but I had to photograph this way because the groom’s brother couldn’t be there and was giving a toast via ZOOM. Such a sweet moment.

We had a little down time, and when I ever get some down time at weddings I shoot, I love getting photos with my couples.

This wedding was so fun! We made a new industry friend, Savannah! She was the videographer, and we all just instantly clicked. 🙂 The DJ even joined in our fun at one point!

When I give advice to brides about choosing the right vendors for your wedding day, & the vendors all end up clicking like this, it makes for such a fun wedding day experience!

We worked, we laughed, we danced, and we even became wing-women for one of the bridesmaids. All in all, such a fun wedding!!

So so thankful Danielle captured these! Her & her husband Matthew not only own a popular wedding venue, Valley Brook Farm, but Matthew is now a real estate agent! So we needed to get him some updated, professional head shots!
