Hi! I'm Hope!

I honestly didn’t know why you would need a day of coordinator until I got into the wedding industry & saw firsthand how valuable these men & women are!

I always say day of coordinators are like my very best friends on a wedding day, because they take the pressure off of me as your photographer. And because that pressure is off of me, it frees up my mental space to be even more creative knowing that someone else is handling the schedule & times.

So why exactly do you need a day of coordinator?

What does a day of coordinator actually do?: They do so many things, but their main goal is to make sure the wedding day flows smoothly & seamlessly. They do this by taking care of the schedule & coordinating that schedule with me, the wedding photographer. They also coordinate with the florist, rental companies, caterer, venue, etc.

They save you the stress: A lot of brides think they can handle the schedule & time on their wedding day. This is most common with smaller weddings, but what ends up happening is their friends & family either see them as super bossy, or won’t take them seriously. I’ve seen this happen so many times. Then the timeline gets thrown off, and behind.

To have an unbiased third party in charge of the schedule: You never want any bad blood on your wedding day. Family members tend to take over & become wayyy to bossy & everyone gets mad at them & refuses to listen.

The bride tries to handle it all but comes across as bridezilla because she’s just overwhelmed & wants her day to flow smoothly, but nobody listens.

Or the wedding photographer has to take over the timeline & then ends up not being as creative, because they have to constantly worry about the schedule & wrangling everyone.

Hiring someone who’s job it is to keep everyone on schedule, including me, is a great way to not only keep peace within your family, but helps you, the bride, to breathe easier. They also take care of a million things that may go wrong on your wedding day, but you’ll never know about it, because that’s their job. To keep you calm, on schedule, and handle all the things. 😊

I think it’s 100% worth it to work in a day of coordinator into your budget, and I’m not just saying that because I’m a wedding photographer. I sincerely mean they are worth every. single. penny!

And think of how it would feel to let someone else handle the schedule while you sip on mimosas with your girls.
