To continue this post from the previous blog post, which you can find here, 2016 had a few more things to throw at me before it was over. As I mentioned in the last blog post, my personal life started taking a turn for the worse. I found myself very lost, confused, hurt, and scared for what the future held. I ended up asking God questions that I never thought I would find myself asking Him, and even being just a little bit angry. I asked Him, “Why, why is this happening?”, and “What did I do to have all this pain, and rejection in my life? Do you know what’s so great about God though? He still loved me through it all. No matter what questions I had, or even if I had gotten a little bit angry, He still loved me, and gave me the answers I needed. It wasn’t always what I wanted to hear, but it was the truth I needed to get back on track, and headed in the right direction.
I would say by November I started growing more, and more not only in my faith, but in all aspects of my life. I had to choose to surrender some situations, and people in order to have what God wanted me to have. It was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do, but the peace I gained was worth it. So did I get my happy ending at the end of 2016? Oh I was so close, but 2016 wanted to throw something else at me before it left. It hit me with a mystery virus on Christmas Eve. Why was it a mystery? The doctors did 2 flu tests, checked me for strep, checked for 1 other virus it could’ve been, but everything came out negative. It left me very, very sick until Friday of last week.
I think that was 2016’s way of throwing one more punch at me, but it didn’t get me down. I am coming back stronger, and better than I was before. So 2017, bring it on, I am ready for you.
For now enjoy some more highlights of the wonderful people I got to work with last year.
Here’s to more serving more amazing, and awesome clients for 2017!
