This has been a challenging year to say the least, and has been quite a slow year for my business. But through it all, God keeps saying, “Trust Me”. If your year has been really stressful, unproductive, emotional, etc. etc. Don’t worry, you have a chance to start fresh, starting tonight. So take that opportunity, and make things happen!
And now, the moment you came here for. 2013, A Year In Photographs!
I first wanted to start this post off with a photo of my dearly departed pooch, Buster. He was a huge part of my family, and was with me since I was 16. His death was really emotional for me this year, but he will always be remembered. R.I.P Buster boy.
For 2013, I actually did not take very many photographs at all. Between taking care of my grandma, because of her foot surgery, and some personal issues my poor camera was neglected. But I took it out for the 4th of July so I could capture the beautiful fireworks. We had a really good time roasting marshmallows, playing with sparklers, etc. Whether she realizes it or not, this little girl made me feel really great about our shoot. I’ll never forget her words, “I never knew I could look like that”. That’s how I want to make everyone feel when they come to get their portrait taken. The experience is everything. Photographing Breanna & Nathan’s wedding was a lot of fun. I’m forever grateful to them for letting me shoot their most special day. Shooting the Chick-Fil-A events this year have been so much fun. You never know what that cow is going to do.
What are you looking forward to in 2014?
I am looking forward to more shoots, meeting new a lot of new people, spending more time with my family, and friends, and really getting my business off the ground.
I hope you all had a wonderful 2013, and here’s to a prosperous 2014!
Thank you to everyone who has shown me their support this year. And be on the lookout for monthly tips, and tricks in your inbox from my newsletter.
