This is the beginning of a beautiful worship song by Kari Jobe. I have always had a fascination with stars since I was little. There’s just something about the way they glitter like thousands of diamonds among a black background, and they hold such mysteries that we aren’t even aware of. Just because we send telescopes up into space such as ‘The Hubble’, and get an up close look at these wonders of the Heavens doesn’t mean we know everything about them.
And since it is the Christmas season, I thought it would be appropriate to talk about stars. After all, it was a star that brought the wise men to Bethlehem long ago, to witness the miracle of our Savior.
Stars give light, they help you see your way in the dark when you are lost. People have been using the North Star as a guide for generations. And I think that’s why I love stars. They provide light, and direction, and I’ve never liked being in the dark with no lights to guide my way. The same can be said for my life. I need Jesus, he’s my northern star. He guides my way when I feel lost, and need direction.
Do you share a fascination with stars? What’s your favorite constellation?
I look forward to chatting with you all again.
Love,
Hope
