Hi! I'm Hope!

Hello friends! You have probably heard this word floating around on the Pinterest boards you have been staring at for hours, or heard it somewhere on Facebook, but are not too sure what an unplugged wedding really is.

An unplugged wedding is where you ask friends or family to place their phones in a basket, or a designated place during the wedding ceremony, or in most cases the entire wedding. The idea is for all wedding guests to be present, instead of looking at their phone screens.

So how do you determine what’s right for you? Let me shed some photographer perspective. I know, I can hear you through the screen saying, “She’s a photographer so she’s going to list all the reasons why I need an unplugged wedding so I can book her”.  Stick with me friends, I want you to make the decision that is best for you.

I am person that loves lists, so let’s pull a Rory Gilmore, and create a pro/con list.(Kudos to you if you know what I am talking about.)

Whatever your decision may be, make sure YOU make the right decision for YOUR wedding. Memories are memories, and the most important thing is, that you have those precious memories for decades to come.

Love,
