The downtown Winston-Salem area was a hustle, & bustle of activity as lines of people eagerly waited outside the Stevens Center. (Broadway shows are back, baby!) Tourists were making their way downtown with their families, & locals made their way to places such as, Camino Bakery, to sit & catch up with friends. Which is exactly where I met up with Laura & Keng.
When I saw her walk up in her red flowy, flowered patterned dress I immediately became excited! (Ya’ll know how I feel about flowy dresses & flowers!) We exchanged hugs, talked for a bit, and began our session. As we walked around the downtown area we spent a bit of time talking, and I asked them how they met.
Laura & Keng are both from my little home town of Mt. Airy. They both met while working at McDonald’s in high school. After a couple months of being friends, talking & getting to know each other, Keng asked her out. He’s such a total gentleman, because he even asked if he could kiss her first, instead of trying to make a move on her. (Be still my heart!!) Their jobs have changed over the years, but their love for one another hasn’t.
All throughout our session I could see & feel the love they had for one another. Especially in the way Laura smiles so lovingly at Keng, and Keng can make her laugh with little inside jokes.
Laura & Keng, I pray you both have nothing, but joy & peace in your marriage together. I’m so happy for the both of you!
Love,
Hope*
