Books And Creativity || How Do They Inspire You?
Hello lovelies! I hope your Monday is off to a great start. Grab your favorite beverage(mine is iced coffee!), and let’s dive into this inspirational post.
I love books, and I believe they are so important for creativity, and a successful business. In this post I want to take a look at two different main genres of books, and how I come up with different ideas.
If you are into composite photography, such as myself, fictional books are your go to! They get my brain flowing(over-flowing at times), with all kinds of ideas. Here is a sneak peek at my notebook of ideas that I have wrote down. A few of these may become a reality, and others may not. But this is what happens after I finish reading a book, or a book series.
You don’t even want to know what happens after I listen to certain genres of music. 🙂
For the portrait side of my business, I love to read business books on how to make me a better leader, and business woman. These are just a few of the books I own, and I will be adding to the reading list so we can perhaps read together.
With business books, sometimes it can take me a while to read them, because I assess them chapter by chapter, and I take notes(I know I’m such a nerd, but it really helps me).
Reading books is like having another opinion, and voice. It’s good to gain perspective about what you are doing, and where you are going versus where you need to go.
If you don’t have time to sit down, and open up a book you can check out great resources like Audible. They have thousands of titles to choose from. Just pop in your head phones, and start listening. The knowledge contained within books are priceless.
