I’m so excited for you to read about Amanda & Hampton’s story & their Old Salem engagement session!! 🙂 Amanda actually has some history with this beautiful, charming, historic place.
She grew up going to church here, & one of her favorite things to do after church was to go out front, and pump water from the old well.
As for their love story, Amanda & Hampton are basically the real life Pam & Jim. They quickly became friends at their workplace, and finally, after a couple years, they officially started dating in 2019.
Just like Pam & Jim they still work together. (Which I find amazing! Most people say they can’t work with their boyfriends/girlfriends/spouses, but they have no problems & really enjoy it!)
Outside of their workplace, Hampton is the head of a really cool organization, & Amanda is a member of the board of directors for it. About 4 years ago his sister, Karly, was diganosed with hodgkin’s lymphoma. It was a very hard & challenging time in their lives, but today Karly is cancer free & thriving!! (Pop that champagne bottle & throw all the confetti!!! Throw all of it!!! Bring down the disco ball as well….!!!)Â
They knew, going forward, they wanted to do something for families going through a similiar situation. With a little vision & planning, Pigskins for Hodgkins was born!!
Every year they host a charity flag football game that features former high school, college, and pro. athletes playing side by side, along with others. So far they have raised over $25,000, & they are getting ready to host the 4th annual game this year on March 26th!
